Discover FruitPV: an innovative agrivoltaic power plant

FruitPV is a pilot agrivoltaic project run by Akuo in collaboration with the National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research (INIAV) in Alcobaça, Portugal. It is located at their innovation pole in Alcobaça, in the province of Estremadura, 1h30 North of Lisbon.

The aim of the project is to develop optimal agrivoltaic solutions for growing Fuji apple trees, while contributing to Portugal's energy and agricultural transition.

The FruitPV plant is an experimental project that will test different agrivoltaic solutions and identify the most effective ones. The results of the project will be shared with the farming community to encourage the development of agrivoltaics in Portugal.
