Green School Bali
The project
Founded in 2008 by John and Cynthia Hardy, Green School Bali is an international educational institution dedicated to offering its students a holistic and sustainable education. Its primary goal is to provide an innovative learning environment while fostering a commitment to environmental sustainability.
A pioneering approach
What makes Green School stand out is its pioneering approach to education and its practical commitment to preserving the environment. The school was constructed using sustainable materials such as bamboo and other local natural resources. In 2013, thanks to the Akuo Foundation, the school was able to be supplied with renewable energy thanks to the installation of solar panels and the use of hydraulic energy. Furthermore, the classrooms have been designed to be open and integrated into nature, thus enabling the students to develop a deep connection with their environment.
A committed educational program
Green School’s education program emphasizes values such as sustainability, eco-responsibility and community engagement. The students learn through practical and tangible projects by focusing on issues such as organic agriculture, renewable energy, permaculture, social entrepreneurship and preserving the environment.
Over the years, Green School has become a sustainable education model attracting attention and admiration on a global scale. It has been acknowledged for its innovative approach to education, which has inspired the creation of other green schools around the world.
