The project

In liaison with the Katiola Town Hall, Prefecture and traditional authorities, the aim of this project is to supply solar energy to ten homes for low-income families, i.e. a hundred people, managed by single mothers, near a training center devoted to them.

Income-generating activities

Enabling these families to set up activities that generate income thanks to electricity represents genuine support for them. To this end, specific training sessions are organized that notably cover preservation techniques, hygiene, financial education and management. Similarly, the project aims to ensure training is provided, under good learning conditions, to 150 young out-of-school women in Katiola to enhance their operational and professional abilities.
