Fontaine Macon 1
Located in north-eastern France, the Fontaine-Macon I wind farm, installed in the town of the same name, consists of six turbines that fit perfectly into their environment. This wind farm contributes to the energy diversification of a region in which electric power has historically been produced by conventional energy facilities.
It also demonstrates the ambition to optimize farmland and develop the region. The presence of other Akuo farms in the same region (Fontaine-Macon II and Croix-Benjamin, totaling 36 MW) has led to the establishment of a new Vestas maintenance center near the power plants, and hence to the creation of jobs that cannot be relocated, in this rural part of France.
